1Q. What is the SgR2R system?
1A. SgR2R , known as SGNIC Registry-Registrar, is a new domain name registration system that allows registrars, accredited by SGNIC to provide one-stop service of domain name registrations and/or hosting. For this new system, subscribers will be given a transfer key by SGNIC to grant the transfer of their domain name service to any of the accredited registrars of their choice.

2Q. Who is affected by the SgR2R?
2A. Existing subscribers who are having their domain name registered with SGNIC will be affected.

3Q. When will this take effect?
3A. From 15th December 2002.

4Q. What is a Transfer Key?
4A. Transfer Key is a password given by SGNIC via post together with your domain name.

5Q. How do I carry out my transfer?
5A. There are two ways. You can either do the transfer via Online or via hardcopy given by you also by SGNIC. However as SingNet subscribers we suggest that you indicate your transfer via our Online Transfer Page here.

6Q. Do I need to pay for this transfer?
6A. There is no charge required when you indicate your transfer.

7Q. What happens to my virtual domain service tied to this per.sg?
7A. All services tied to this domain name (e.g.: Virtual Email, Web Re-directing and Web Space) will continue as long as you have indicated your transfer.

8Q. How do I know if my transfer is successful?
8A. A confirmation email will be sent to your SingNet email address.

9Q. If I am previously parking my domain name with other ISP and now would like to park it under SingNet, can I do so?
9A. Yes, however you need to have a valid SingNet account and subscribe to our Per.SG service. For more information about our SingNet plans, please click here.

10Q. During this transfer, I would like to terminate my service with SingNet, can I do so? If yes, how?
10A. Yes, if you wish to terminate your domain name service with us, you can send in a letter indicating your termination or fax to us at 65358191.

11Q. What happen if my anniversary date for my Domain Name expire on December 2002?
11A. You are advised to arrange for your domain name to be transferred to the accredited registrars before 15th December. For this purpose, SGNIC has also attached the following for your use:
  · Instructions to transfer your domain name(s) to the registrars of your choice; and
  · List of your domain names(s) and the corresponding creation date(s).
